Philmore hurt in early morning accident
Steelpan icon Prof Ken Philmore is currently being treated at the San Fernando General Hospital after being injured in an accident this morning.
Police said Philmore left his St Joseph Village, San Fernando home and was driving north along the Solomon Hochoy Highway in his Toyota Hilux pickup around 8.45 am. As he approached the Claxton Bay overpass, the pickup skidded, then flipped several times on the road. Passers-by contacted the St Margaret's police, who responded along with an ambulance. He was taken to the hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
